oh my gosh! i'm so in love with this movie. i really like how the movie was done. i think it is very inspiring in some ways. i love how they made use of the beatles songs which really fits into the different scenes in the movie. the movie has a musical theme to it because the main characters are singing. amazingly, they all have really good voices. they sang the songs really well. i want to watch this movie over and over again. by the way, i learned of this movie through bianca gonzalez's blog entry. i really enjoyed watching this movie. it is really beautiful. i'm so in love with jim sturgess who played the role of jude in the movie. i hope you could watch it too..

grand return demo part 1

i just got home today because i'm finished with the part o1 of my ret dem. our scheduled ret dem was 4:30 pm so i arrived at school at about 2pm. i felt weird when i walked into our school because it felt like forever when we had our regular class. anyways, when i got to school, i saw my groupmates so i joined them as to where they were seated. there, we chatted with each other. i was really nervous.

when it was already 4:30pm, we went upstairs to gdlsc nal3 so that we would be able to know if it is our turn yet. we always look as to who is coming out of the door. then, finally, our turn came. they allowed us to get inside for our turn. we were all nervous. i performed hygienic measures and therapeutic positions. i did okay but i'm not satisfied with the grades i received. i got mental block during the actual ret dem. i forgot all the things i have reviewed..damn! anyways, at least i'm finished with the first part. next will be the physical assessment.

bum out days

for the past few days, i had been stuck in home doing nothing but read manual of nursing procedures volume 1. i have been waiting for the day for us to have our grand return demo scheduled. up until now, some of the batch in our section haven't finished with the ret dem yet. sunday is considered family day and of course, i didn't do anything productive at home. monday, no classes because of the edsa 1 revolution anniversary. people gathered around mendiola to have the rally. tuesday, we only attended a 1-hour class which is micro-para lec. all the afternoon subjects got cancelled because the general education subjects had their general meeting. no religion classes for almost three meetings now. its not that we don't like religion.
wednesday, we still doesn't have a schedule for our grand ret dem because there are a lot of back logs in the other sections for team b. the tendency of the ret dem being always cancelled is that you no longer want to study. i've watched several movies these past few days because i really don't know what to do at home. i also surf the net for just about random things. can't wait to watch across the universe.
anyways, that's all. i don't really feel like blogging today. godbless...

american idol 7 favorites

this year, american idol return for its seventh season. the top 24 has already been chosen and now, the guys and girls are performing for a spot on the top 12. america will vote on who would they like to see on the top 12.

as for me, i have my personal favorites from this season. before the show begins, ryan seacrest always says that season 7 has the greatest talent the show has ever had. well, i kinda agree but of course, from the previous seasons, there had been few great talents on the show. okay, as for my favorites, i have 5. two from the girls and three from the boys.

last february 18, 2008, i went down to buy a test tube and masking tape for our group. i didn't want the company of my groupmates so i decided to go alone. i was in a good mood that day but i really don't like mondays because we have micro-para lab. after i bought the test tube and masking tape, i went back because our class is still on going. then, when i was near the north quadrangle, I SLIPPED!!! i didn't know how it happened but i did slipped. it was so embarrassing because most of the people that saw me slipped were boys. i was so ashamed :( i got up immediately and limped my way to gdlsc. to my surprise, i saw my classmate, jowell and raul sitting in the chairs, eating. jowell told me that he saw me slipped but thankfully he didn't tease me that much.
i was so embarrassed with what happened to me. i went up to the laboratory when jowell told me to. when i got there, i told my friends about what happened to me. dana helped me with cleaning my wounds. she cleaned my wound first with water and then put on alcohol. i was in pain because it involved my knees. good thing, all the classes at centro escolar university was declared half-day. there was an announcement that the dean would like to have a meeting with the president, vice president and secretary of each class. i decided not to go because it pains me to go up and down the stairs. up until now my right knee still hurts when i'm going up or going down the stairs.
anyways, that's just one of my embarrassing moments :)

wasted effort...

today, february 20, 2008, we were scheduled to have our grand return demonstration starting with the first batch at 7:30 am. i arrived at school at about 9am and i found some of my classmates reviewing so i joined them. then, one of our classmate told us that the start of the grand retdem for our section is at 1pm. we were shocked by the sudden news because there was a different schedule given to us the day before the grand retdem. batch 5 was scheduled at 1pm and i belong to the fifth batch. i really can't accept it because i studied the procedures and i even slept while studying though i really don't want to fall asleep. i really felt bad about it.
anyways, i decided to study in the library because it is quiet place where you really want to concentrate on what you're studying. so i asked my friend if she wanted to go and good thing she did. we made our way to the library and good thing there wasn't many people yet during that time. we had a peaceful time at the library and we were able to concentrate on what we're studying. there were numerous nursing students in the library particularly the juniors because they also have their grand retdem. anyways, it was really cold inside the library and i was really shivering. the hair on my arms were standing.
at 11am, we decided that it was time for us to eat our lunch. we went to the canteen to eat lunch. we saw some of our former classmates and chatted with them for a while. we then bought food to eat. i really enjoyed the tocilog and it's my favorite. i didn't quite enjoy the rice. after we at our lunch, we stayed for a while at the canteen to just take a rest. afterwards, we went to gdlsc where all our classmates are staying. we joined in on them for a chat. the atmosphere on the place was really tensed. everybody was nervous about the grand retdem as well as myself. who wouldn't be nervous? we just stayed there waiting for our turn to come. some weren't studying and just relaxing but deep inside they were nervous.
then, we were told to go home especially the batch 4-6 because they wouldn't be able to accommodate us all. we were happy but then we felt like we wasted our effort for going to school that day. we made sure that the decision was final. we asked our P.R.O to text us if there are necessary changes with the schedule. after being sure, we decided to go home. me, mai and jecca decided to ride a jeepney going to pureza station. inside the train, we were having a good time talking with each other. for the next part, i am going to write in tagalog.
e di yun na nga, nakasakay na kami sa tren. then, sa tapat namin may tatlong magkakaibigan; dalawang lalaki, isang babae. ang ingay nila pero okay lang naman yun kasi normal lang naman talaga na maingay ang tao eh. ang nakakainis lang, yung babae nilang kasama. nung una hindi pa namin siya pinapansin pero nung mga sumunod na oras lumala siya. sobrang ingay pa niya tapos akala mo kung sinong maganda. pinangangalandakan pa niya na naka mini skirt siya, bukaka pa siya ng bukaka kala mo naman maganda yung legs niya. ang arte niya talaga, sobra! kaming tatlo nga hindi na natutuwa sa kanya eh. ang feeling niya kasi tas ang gulu-gulo pa niya. masyado siyang pa-cute at nagmamaganda. picture pa siya ng picture tas pupuriin niya yung sarili niya kasi DAW ang ganda niya.
kami naman ni maila inis na inis na. si jecca hindi lang nagsasalita pero inis na din siya. pero masaya naman kami kasi may gwapo kaming kasabay sa lrt. sayang nga at mali yung napwestuhan namin eh. kung sakali dun kami umupo sa pwesto nila e di kaharap pa namin sila. dalawa sila actually pero mas gwapo yung chinito. ang ginawa naman nung girl, dun siya pumwesto sa may pole tas nagpicture-picture siya. after niya magpicture, tuwang-tuwa siya kasi sinadya niyang isama sa picture yung gwapong guy. nung bumaba yung friend nung gwapong guy sa katipunan, ang ginawa nung babae nilait ba naman yung friend. and! take note, tumingin sa kanya yung gwapong guy kasi parang nainis din siya dun sa girl dahil dun sa panlalait nung girl sa kanyang friend.
nung malapit na sa lrt station, yung girl nauna na sa may pintuan ng train tas parang pinapaalam pa niya sa lahat na gusto niya sa elevator. sorry siya, sira yung elevator matagal na panahon na. buti na lang yung gwapong guy hindi dumaan dun sa dinaan ng girl dahil sa inis niya. doon siya bumaba sa pinakadulo kung saan lagi kaming bumababa. nung nasa escalator na kami, tingin siya ng tingin samin. tas sabi ni jecca tumtitingin nga..hehe..^^ after non, naghintay na kami ng jeep na masasakyan pauwi e umuulan pa non, buti na lang may dala kaming payong. nakita ko yung gwapong guy sa may waiting shed kasi wala siyang payong pero after few minutes nakita ko siya nasa likod na namin siya. dun siya sa jeep na patungong montalban sumakay. e yung girl sa montalban din sumakay pero don sa ibang jeep.
today, is really a wasted effort. we weren't able to proceed with our grand retdem because team b has such slow system. they can't follow the schedule they have given to us. i have to go study again. but, i think it has an advantage because we could still master the things we have to do in our grand retdem. that's all..

grand return demonstration hands-on and orientation

yesterday, february 13, 2008 we had our grand retdem hands-on and orientation. first, our group had the hands-on at gdlsc nal 2 with the other sections from team a and team b. it was a one-hour session in which we reviewed the steps in doing the procedures that we're going to perform during the grand retdem. i just only realized that the procedures i performed during the 1st semester was easy the only problem is that there are lots of steps to be followed but, thinking about it, its just really easy.
after the hands-on, we had our break. we ate our lunch and afterwards, proceeded to gdlsc nal 3 for the orientation. there, we also joined some of the sections from team a and team b. we were oriented about our upcoming oral revalida for our community immersion requirements. then, we were also oriented about what will happen during the grand return demonstration. one of our clinical instructor taught us a song that made us wake up because some of the students were already sleepy. also, one of our clinical instructor was typing in the laptop and we can see what he was typing in the white screen. he was typing what our community coordinator was saying which made all of us laugh. the highlight of that orientation was the most good-looking clinical instructor. he was really handsome, tall and when he smile, he can melt you..hehe..^^ anyways, almost all the girls were staring at him for he is very enchanting. they also demonstrated the correct way of doing the physical assessment for our benefit.
what is grand return demonstration anyway? it is where all level 2 students of the college of nursing have to perform the procedures they have done during the 1st semester with all the retdem they have done. it will also determine if we would be promoted to level 3. i'm really nervous about it because i don't know if i'll remember all the steps but i know i can do it.. hehe..^^

bakit may mga taong sadyang?!...

bakit ganon?! may mga taong sadyang sobrang manlait kahit wala ka namang ginagawa sa kanila?! ang kwento non ay ganito.. kanina ko lang siya nalaman nung kami ay nagpunta ng sta. lucia east grand mall para maghanap ng long blue expandable folder na aming gagamitin sa grand ret dem. hay naku! uminit talaga yung dugo ko. my blood pressure reached its highest point.
anyways, nung monday kasi gabi na kame nakauwi. sumakay kami (ako, claire, jecca) ng jeep papuntang angono, binangonan at kung ano mang papuntang hihgway sa tapat ng lumang sta. lucia. hindi kami yung naunang sumakay sa jeep pero medyo marami na din yung tao. syempre, sa jeep marami ang sasakay. in our case, may nakasakay kaming dalawang bading. okay na sana ang lahat eh. yung katabi ko sa right, the words coming out from his mouth is all bad kasi nagrereklamo siya na ang bagal nung jeep na nasakyan niya. kausap niya kasi yung girlfriend niya e magkikita yata suila. ayun, yung mga bading nasa left side ko.
ayun, kwentuhan naman kaming tatlo sa jeep at hindi pinapansin ang mga taong kasama namin sa jeep. ako naman wala lang don sa mga katabi kong bading. mind your own business kung baga. tapos, ayun nga, kanina ko lang nalaman. sabi nila claire at jecca, pagbaba ko daw sa tapat ng aming village, nagtawanan daw yung mga bading. hindi ko alam kung bakit pero feel ko nilalait nila kami or inookray. hindi nila masyadong maalala yung exact words na sinabi nila pero masama yung dating. nung nalaman ko yun, nag-init talaga yung ulo ko. p*t*ng ina talaga yung mga bading na 'yon. wag lang talaga silang magpapakita saming tatlo. leche yan! kabadtrip ng araw. sabi ko na may masamang vibe yung dalwang yun eh..
ayon lang, kelangan ko lang mailagay sa blog ang aking nararamdaman.

join the club lister's night and grand eb

last february 8, 2008, join the club had their lister's night and grand eb after 4 years of planning it to happen. finally! the venue for the event was at mayrics, espana in front of ust. the show was entitled: The Electric Banana Showcase.
me and my friend dana had our exam that day. last day of our exam for the midterms. we didn't hurry with answering the exam because we want to pass. we read the questions and answered them with the correct answer..hopefully.. anyways, we were so excited, the two of us, we just couldn't stop giggling. we were supposed to be three who would go to the lister's night but the other backed out during the last minute because she doesn't have money for she already paid for the ticket that we were supposed to watch in our computer subject. also, one of our classmate wanted to watch but she didn't appear there during the event.
anyways, after me and dana finished with our exam, we immediately went out of our school but we didn't know where we are supposed to go because it was still early. we talked with some of our former classmates and me and dana decided to eat at jollibee with our friend joanna. so, we waited for the time to pass us by. after eating at jollibee, we decided to go to mayrics. me and dana hailed a cab for us to take us at mayrics. it wasn't that easy to do so. most of the taxi's are full and fortunately, we found one that has no passengers on it.
the taxi driver drove us to some place that was far from our destination. inikot niya kami in short para lumaki yung metro namin. nagdahilan pa si manong, sinisi pa kami kung bakit kami lumagpas. anyways, we had to make a turn and we arrived to our destination safely. it was my first time to go to mayrics so i was surprised to see that it was a small place but can accommodate people. we went to see if we know some people who were already there but sadly we don't know anyone yet. so, we sit at the stairs of BPI bank. we listened to some of the songs on dana's mp3 player. my cellphone was already battery dead while waiting for our companions.
me and dana then saw migs mendoza, guitarist of join the club. he was the first one to arrive there. dana became ecstatic when she saw migs so i told her to that we should approach him but both of us was so shy..hehe..^^ anyways, after which, we saw ate teta and we approached her. after that, we went inside mayric's to look for a table for us to be seated. then, inside, we waited for more people to arrive and for the program to start. i was really in need of a bathroom but we can't leave our table kasi walang magbabantay. then, i saw some of my clan mates outside who just arrived. dana was telling me to go there and greet them but at first i wasn't really sure if it was them.
so, we waited for more people to arrive. dana's friends from publico appeared one by one. first it was louie who arrived. then, dana and louie talked with each other so i approached the table of my clan mates. there, i introduced my self to ruth and in turn she introduced me to her sisters, mau and ate maricon then ate beck. i also introduced them to dana. we took some pictures and chatted for a while. then, the members of publico, as i have said appeared one by one. i was shocked whenever one of them will appear because they will sit down on the chair in front of us quietly. they were very nice people, publico.
pao santiago, drummer of join the club sat with us. he was entertaining us kasi wala kami masyado kausap ni dana. he was such a nice guy. ayon, ang dami namin pinagkwentuhan. he still remembered the handkerchief i gave him during the nurses' day of our freshmen year. he really appreciated it and he still has my handkerchief. he told me that it was his first time to receive a handkerchief from a fan and i was really touched. we also asked him for some autograph and pictures. dang! i was really happy. madami pa kami encounters sa kanya before pa non pero dahil sa sobrang excitement ko magsulat ng blog, hindi ko na sila mamention lahat. pao santiago is my favorite member of the band. he also told us that they will come back again at ceu. i hope so.
then, i saw one of our clan mate as well, rafael. i didn't know he texted me. i saw him first then that's when i saw his text message. more people arrived at the venue. more people drink and smoked. then, finally the event started. ate teta was the host of the night's program. the guest band were the first to perform. second to perform was the band publico. i didn't know all the names of the bands who performed but they were great. i enjoyed publico's and mom's cake's performance. the vocalist of mom's cake was hilarious. they put on such a great show. it was my first time to see them perform live. i was really shocked with the way the vocalist performs but he is truly good.
then, it was join the club's time to perform. in between bands who had finished performing, there were some questions asked and prizes were given. i really wanted to answer because i want to win the demo cd but i was shy and i didn't want to go in front. anyways, i think they sang 7 or 8 songs which was 2 songs from their new album rakista and bagong panimula, tinig, lunes, nobela, mahiwaga, emotional overdose and i think dekada. anyways, they also had the initiation for poch, to be an official new member of the band. it was really fun. the initiation was really nice. pao santiago also displayed his talent for beat boxing. man! i was blown away with it. it was my first time seeing him beat boxing and i was super impressed. i was like, wow! that was great. they also had some joke time on the stage and it was really funny.
i so love join the club. after the show, me and dana took the opportunity to take pictures with the other band members and have their autograph. i was really happy and i was loving the moment. then, we went outside. we talked with the others, my clan mates. they were really nice people. rafael was gone immediately after the show. me and dana waited for a good taxi for us to be able to go home. then, a good taxi arrived and got in. we said our goodbye to the people we've met. i went home to dana's house because i don't have a company to go home with to rizal.
their house was nice. dana has lots of cats. i went home at about 11 am. dana toured me to their house. ang tagal ng proseso bago makauwi sa bahay nila dana. and daming kelangan sakyan but good thing we wer able to come home safely. then, dana accompanied me hanggang sa cubao kasi hindi ko alam kung pano umuwi pag galing sa kanila. ayon, nakauwi naman ako sa bahay namin.
it was really a night to remember. i was really happy that i made the right choice. hope to see more of them next time. can't wait for that time to arrive. that's all.

midterm exams

last february 6-8, 2008 we had our midterm exams for the 2nd semester of our sophomore year in college. we transferred to LAH 301 for the reason i'm not really sure.
february 6, 2008. first day. we had 6 exams for 4 subjects. health care rle, rle unit, health care lec unit, micro lab, physics lab and sts unit. the hardest exam for that day was sts unit. man! we were all like asking one another for the answers. we also asked our classmates who reported on that certain topic. our adviser saw us asking each other, she mind it for a while but she just let us continue. it was really hard, i tell you. the exam was all about the diagnostic tests. damn! the exam for our health care subject was okay. it was not easy and not that hard. nakakaumay lang siya, sobra. kasi ba naman pare-pareho lang yung tanong. i really hate physics! we were not meant to be. our micro-para lab exam was also okay. oh, i forgot. after our exams, we went to st. jude to hear the mass for ash wednesday but the mass was already finished so we went to san sebastian church and good thing it wasn't finished yet when we arrived. the priest was already giving the homily but we arrived in time to put the ashes on our forehead.

february 7, 2008. second day. oh man! our micro-para unit exam was quite fine. then, the hardest was micro-para lec and sts lec..dang! we were all like, what!?! after the exam. it was really hard especially micro-para unit. the exam was all about the examples of the microorganisms present. i was like, i read it but i just forgot what it is. then, sts again. the same test but a little bit easier than the unit exam. we also had health care...again. i was really sleepy when i was answering the exam. the easiest was our history exam which is all about jose rizal. then, it was the end of the day.
february 8, 2008. third and last day. physics..shit! the exam for our physics lec was really hard. i didn't know the answers to almost all the questions that involved computation. i'm really bad when it comes to math. almost all of my classmates had a difficult time answering the questions. at the end, most of us ended up guessing the answers to the questions. i swear that subject! the rest of the subjects wasn't that hard and thankfully i got to answer them.
i'm really glad that hell week is over, which is our midterm exams.. i'm looking forward to the finals. i hope i pass this semester to be able to move on to our summer class. i really want to pass!!! that's all.
